Starting a Virtual Assistant business can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. If I had to start over, here’s the order I’d follow.

Mindset Matters: Use a mindset and mantra worksheet to stay motivated.

Self-Assessment: Evaluate your past job skills to identify strengths.

Define Your Specialty: Choose your focus - profession, pain, or passion.

Set Your Rates: Determine your hourly rate and decide on retainer/hourly/project pricing.

Set Up Your Business: Establish your business structure and prepare essential documents.

Build Your Online Presence: Create profiles, optimize your LinkedIn and start showcasing your work.

Start Marketing: Reach out to warm contacts, apply for remote gigs if you have zero experience and regularly pitch your services.

Maintain and Grow: Refine your offerings and adjust as you gain experience.

Reminder: Your business will evolve. Don’t overthink—just start.
